We lived in Florida [Merritt Island, and Cocoa, on the Space Coast] just over 20-years, and for half that time, along the water, our home being on Sykes Creek waterway. Seeing the manatee frequently, among other wildlife was an absolute joy! In the old photo above, Maggy is pictured in the bathroom window [a favorite nap spot of hers] alongside some manatee figures; and the large image is a wooden carving of a manatee.
